In brief

November in the Rainforest

If you’re travelling in cassowary habitat over the next few months please look out and take extra care as Dad has done his work incubating the eggs and the small stripy chicks should be starting to hatch.

Remember cassowaries like any parent are protective over their offspring. Never come between a male cassowary and his chicks as the male will feel you are threatening them and become defensive.
