Trees go around
the World
A honeymooning couple from Germany
were two of hundreds of people, in recent months, from around
Australia and the world that chose to give the gift of a ‘Tree
for Life’ and help Australia’s rainforests. The couple
visited the ARF Interpretive Centre and Gift Shop in Cairns and
each bought a tree for the other.
At the same time tree certificates have made their way through
orders over the internet and postal requests, to the UK, Italy
and the USA with one local tourism volunteer reducing his Mum
in Austria to tears, on the knowledge that a tree had been planted
in the Daintree for her.
Give a Tree for Life is a unique and thoughtful gift
wether it be a wedding anniversary, birthday, memorial or birth,
thank you or just to say I love you.

Tree planting
at the new ARF site for revegetation - Emerald Waters,
Diwan, Daintree. |
|
Rainforest volunteers will plant your
tree in one of the ARF’s
revegetation areas in the Wet Tropics to provide a food source
for the endangered cassowary and a sanctuary for the many rainforest
animals, insects and frogs. Your gift will also help rehabilitate
our World Heritage listed rainforests.
The person receiving your gift will be sent a special certificate;
suitable for framing, indicating where the tree has been planted
and information on why this is such a special gift of life to
the rainforest. This certificate and other information can be
posted anywhere in the world in a crush proof tube.
