The ARF will present you with a beautiful signed
Certificate of Land Sponsorship |
 |
Sponsor your own piece of the Daintree Rainforest.
You or your company or a group of friends can sponsor a whole block of Daintree
Rainforest and protect it forever. Become a Rainforest
Protector now.

You choose a block of land from
the Foundation’s protected land bank. Blocks of pristine
rainforest vary in size and cost, but a single hectare
(2.5 acres) of rainforest generally cost $35,000.
You may choose to sponsor this
block yourself or get a group of work colleagues
or friends to make up a sponsor group.
Your sponsorship payment is tax deductible and once paid the Foundation will:-
1. |
Register
the land under your name in the Foundation’s land
bank, |
2. |
Issue you with a Certificate
of land sponsorship at a suitable presentation
function, |
3. |
Place a Rainforest Protector
sign under your name in a prominent position
on the block, |
4. |
If you agree, and in conjunction
with your wishes, promote your sponsorship throughout
the media. |
How is the land protected?
The Foundation will conserve the
ecological values of the land by any of the following
mechanisms, as appropriate:
|
Holding it under
the trusteeship of the ARF; |
|
Placing a Conservation Covenant
on the title under the Land
Titles Act 1994 (Qld) or have the land declared a Nature
Refuge under the Nature Conservation Act 1992
(Qld). Both
these registrations protect the land forever,
regardless of who owns it; |
|
And if appropriate incorporate
the land into the Daintree National Park under
the authority and protection of the Queensland
Government. |
Ongoing costs?
The ARF will pay as required the
holding costs of the Land including government rates
and charges, management plan costs, survey and other
conservation costs including pest and weed control
measures;
If permitted by regulations we will erect a sign
on the block indicating the name and details of the
sponsorship using descriptions and images as agreed
between ARF and the sponsor and permitted under regulations;
Rights of the Sponsor
